About
A course, not a feed.
Constraint is a short series for people who run software teams. It takes Eliyahu Goldratt’s books and puts them in the language of pull requests, work in progress, and the arguments that outlast a healthy pipeline.
Flow is The Goal: the constraint, the three measures, Herbie, and drum-buffer-rope. Thinking is It’s Not Luck: conflicts, assumptions, and injections that are not compromises. Critical Chain is the book of the same name: dates, buffers, and why a roadmap slips even when every task looked padded. Haystack is The Haystack Syndrome: which numbers are information, and which only train the wrong behaviour. Necessary is Necessary But Not Sufficient: a tool raises throughput only when the process and the measures change with it. Obvious is Isn’t It Obvious?: pull instead of push, so the right work is where it is needed. Choice is The Choice, written with Efrat Goldratt-Ashlag: the beliefs under the tools. These seven are the set.
